Inanç Ayar was born in Istanbul in 1971. After graduating from the Mathematics Teaching Department of Boğaziçi University, he completed a postgraduate degree on philosophy at Galatasaray University. He attained a “Drama in Education” postgraduate diploma from the Birmingham City University and is currently writing his PhD thesis on Philosophy at Galatasaray University.

He acted as a performer for Boğaziçi University Theater Performers. Upon graduation, he ran a theater at Galatasaray High School, and then moved on to join forces with the founders of Galatasaray Stage at Galatasaray University. He successfully directed a number theater plays. In 1999, he wrote and directed the short film “Thirty-four” which was showcased at national and international festivals and received many awards.

He worked as a training designer and consultant for 10 years at TUBITAK – Turkish Industry Governance and Administration Institute of TUBITAK beginning from 2002. While his PhD studies are still underway, İnanç Ayar has also taught as a part time lecturer at Boğaziçi University Education Faculty since 2006, and he has been conducting HerGünÖğren ve Fikri Tesisat ventures.
